Barely hours after relieving Maurizio Sarri of his duties, Juventus have gone ahead to name Andrea Pirlo as head coach of the club.
The 41-year-old was recently charged with handling the club’s U-23 team but has been quickly pushed up the ranks to the level of Head Coach without even managing a single game yet at the U-23 level; this will be a major challenge.
Pirlo played for Juventus between the years 2011 and 2015, helping the “Old Lady” to four consecutive Serie A titles and the UCL final in the 2014/15 season.
