Communications Director of the Juvenile Club Owners Association of Ghana (JUCOAG) Justice Nkansah Asare ‘Basti’ has urged the GFA to reconsider its decision to register players in the Juvenile football teams to the FIFA connect platform in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
Juvenile club owners are struggling to get the full complement of their squad so they can monitor and screen them before they embark on the registration exercise.
This is due to the ban placed on all sporting activities in Ghana since March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with Tema based radio station Plan B FM on the Ka Wadwen sports show, Mr. Justice Asare said the ban on football has made it very difficult for them to get access to their players for the registration.
“It will be very difficult for us to go to the villages to mobilize and train these boys for the registration because of the ban on football in the country”
“As at now we don’t know whether the ban will be lifted or not, so we want to plead with the FA to have a rethink on its decision” he added.
