There is a fatal accident at Akim Aboabo between Akim Asafo and Nsutam Highway. The vehicles involved in the accident include a Nissan Pickup and a loaded Duff articulated truck. The accident has lead to a complete closure of the road by the Ghana Police Service.

There is an increasing amount of road accidents on our highways and drivers needs to be very careful when driving. Prior to this accident, emergency crews including the Ghana National Fire Service and Ambulance Service have been deployed to the scene. The Police Service has also announced through their social media handle that “all motorists approaching from Suhum are diverted through Kibi at Apedwa Junction”.

The police is doing everything possible to ensure safety on our roads and highways. It is also the duty of all Ghanians to drive carefully when applying our roads. What are your thoughts on the accidents that happens on our various highways.
