James Tamakloe faults NDC and GES over LGBTQ content in schools

NDC’s Dela Afetor Labels Minority Leader As Weak
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

James Tamakloe, an NPP communicator for the Tema West Constituency, has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) for what he described as a failure to do enough to prevent the inclusion of LGBTQ-related content in Ghana’s school curriculum.

Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, Tamakloe stated that the development reflects negligence on the part of the NDC, arguing that stronger action should have been taken to safeguard what he described as Ghana’s moral and cultural values.

According to him, the focus should not be on policy explanations but on legislation. He called for the passage of a bill that would criminalize LGBTQ activities, insisting that such a law would provide clarity and protect the country’s cultural foundations.
