Chief Inspector Morgan with the Tema Community 2 District Police Command has urged the general public to desist from the attitude of joining the official convoys on our roads to avoid accidents.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s NKOSUONSEM with Nana Yaw Abrompah on the Topic “CONVOY”, Chief Inspector Morgan explained that, a convoy is a group of vehicles, typically motor vehicles or ships, traveling together for mutual support and protection.
“Often, a convoy is organized with armed defensive support and can help maintain cohesion within a unit. There are two types of convoys which are close formation convoys at night for clear vision and open formation during the daytime with tough speed” he explained
He stressed that road safety is a shared responsibility hence every individual must obey the rules and regulations to avoid accidents.
