Berekum Chelsea head coach, Samuel Boadu, has expressed how excited he was to lead his team to a 2-1 win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
He poured out his emotions in his post game presser after his side stunned Kotoko who were on a three game unbeaten run heading into the game.
Chelsea recovered from a Steven Mukwala goal to get the comeback win with a 41st minute goal from Stephen Amankona via the penalty spot and in the 96th minute through Mizack Afriyie’s header.
Samuel Boadu’s team ended a poor run of games with this win after losing 3-2 to Legon Cities in Accra and getting hammered 3-0 in Berekum by his former side Accra Hearts of Oak.
“I would like to say that (I’m the happiest man in the world right now) because it’s not easy. What I have gone through since coming here and beating Kotoko, I know it’s a plus and I’m really really happy for that.”
“This is what I was expecting and I thank the players as well because they comported themselves and they fought for this win.”
Chelsea take on Accra Great Olympics next on Sunday, May 26 in Accra.
