Invest in production to reduce the hand-to-mouth lifestyle of Ghanaians -Economist to Gov’t

A Political Analyst Mr. Alex Emmanuel Nti who doubles as an Economist and Financial Engineer has urged the government to invest in production to reduce the hand-to-mouth lifestyle Ghanaians are going through in this current economic hardship.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s late afternoon show EBAANOSEN with Ohene Kinnah, he said the government must reduce its spending and expenditure and also reduce government appointees, reduction in the number of presidential staffers, ministers of state, and other government appointees to reduce public expenditure.

He said this would be an indication that the government is committed to reducing the pressure on the public purse and setting the tone to revive the economy.

” I will advise the general public not to buy government bonds for now because it is too risky since the government has not completed the IMF programs as expected by its creditors”

His added that some of the IMF bailout conditions will further aggravate the living conditions of the poor, lower and middle-income earners.
