Introduction Of E-levy Will Negatively Impact Us – Cocoa Farmers Association

Introduction Of E-levy Will Negatively Impact Us – Cocoa Farmers Association
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

President of the Cocoa Farmers Association, Anane Boateng in an interview with Bohyeba Afriyie on PlanB FM’s Ebanoosen said that cocoa farmers have weighed the positive effect and negative effect of the controversial e-levy and the outcome of the research has brought to their notice the harm it will cost Ghanaians.

He said that they met for the first in the year 2022 as an association to discuss and reason how they will develop themselves as farmers.

He said that they did find the need to discuss e-levy this is because they realized that it is going to affect them because COCOBOD pays them with E-Cash and this initiative will cost them about 20gh before they finally receive their money.

He concluded that all they want is for the government to reason with Ghanaians and do what is right by scrapping the electronic levy.
