Indecent dressing and parenting habits undermine values — Rev. Benjamin Boateng

Gossip in churches can hinder growth — Rev. Boateng warns
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Rev. Benjamin Boateng has raised concerns about the growing issue of indecent dressing, warning that it is gradually affecting both the church and the workplace. According to him, the way individuals present themselves plays a significant role in shaping perceptions, attitudes, and overall discipline within these environments.

Speaking on Nyansapo fie show on Plan B 104.5 FM, Rev. Boateng emphasized that indecent dressing does not only erode moral standards but also distracts from the core values that institutions like the church seek to uphold. He noted that in professional settings, such behaviour can diminish respect, reduce productivity, and create uncomfortable atmospheres among colleagues.

Rev Benjamin also addressed parenting practices, stressing the importance of modesty and proper upbringing at home. He cautioned that parents who expose their children to inappropriate behaviour, including allowing them to see their nakedness, risk negatively impacting their children’s moral development. He described such actions as harmful, noting that they could have lasting consequences on a child’s sense of dignity and boundaries.

Rev. Boateng urged parents to be intentional about instilling values of decency and respect in their children from an early age. He further called on individuals to dress appropriately and conduct themselves in ways that reflect discipline and integrity, both in the church and at the workplace.

He concluded by encouraging society to uphold strong moral standards, emphasizing that change begins at home and is reflected in every aspect of communal life.
