Inadequate Logistics Hampering Security Operations In Ghana – Security Analyst

Inadequate Logistics Hampering Security Operations In Ghana – Security Analyst
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Security Analyst, Lord Nana Appiah has expressed worry over the lack of equipment required for the operations of the police and the security services.

According to him, the limited equipment and communication devices is impeding their work in the country.

He said they need more vehicles, weapons, crowd control materials like helmets, shields, body armor and even communication devices to combat crime effectively in the country.

In an interview with Plan B FM ‘Ebaanosen’ with Bohyeba Afriyie, Lord Appiah indicated that the lack of equipment has rendered them ineffective.

“The unavailability of basic logistics is hampering the efficient discharge of their duties. Some of them do not have vehicles and other logistics to help expose and fight crime in the country. With the increasing population, globalization, and advancement in technology and electronic commerce, a new type of gathering information is needed to ensure a peaceful and stable society,” he stated.
