An Immigration Officer has been killed in a horrific motorbike crash at Assin Fosu in the Central Region, leaving a Police officer attached to the Central North Regional Police Command in critical condition.
The deceased, identified as Amoakoh, popularly known as Ahuoden, was reportedly riding as a pillion while the Police officer rode the motorbike.
According to information gathered, the two were travelling from Finest Pup towards the Assin Fosu Main Lorry Station when the motorbike reportedly veered off the road and crashed.
Passersby who witnessed the incident rushed to their aid and conveyed both victims to a health facility for medical attention.
However, Amoakoh was pronounced dead on arrival by medical officers.
The Police officer, who reportedly sustained fractures to his left arm and left leg, remains on admission and is receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Central North Regional MTTD visited the scene, conveyed the damaged motorbike for further examination and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue pending further procedures.
