I’m not the worst Sports Minister- Mustapha Ussif

Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has profoundly rejected the narrative that he is the worst Sports Minister.

He rejected this notion at a Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports, Culture and Tourism chaired by Wisdom Kobena Woyome where several sports related issues including how Ghana’s contingent at the 2023 AFCON spent three million dollars despite the Black Stars elimination from the tournament at the group stage. In the wake of the Baba Yara Stadium getting banned by CAF over the edifice’s poor state particularly the pitch among other controversial incidents, the Sports Minister hit back at such criticisms.

“What I intend to disagree with you, your statement that I am the worst as a Minister, I’m the worst as a performer in terms of numbers, I don’t know which numbers you are talking about so you should be able to tell me what numbers, the data you are using to determine (that) during my time it is the worst.”
