Jacob Teye Partey, the father of Thomas Partey is delighted with his son’s deadline day transfer to English premier league side Arsenal.

The elated former footballer could not hide his joy when he heard the news that his son was on the verge of sealing a deal with Arsenal Football Club.

Arsenal confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old Ghanaian midfielder from Atletico Madrid where he spent eight years on Monday’s transfer deadline on a five-year deal worth £45million.

Speaking exclusively Okocha Jay on the Ka W’adwen Sports Show, Jacob Partey described his son’s move as a blessing for the Partey family.

“I must say, the whole family is excited with his move to a big club like Arsenal. I was happy when I heard the news, so I called him to confirm and he told me it’s happening.”
