I’ll blame no one but the government – Farmer loses millions in plantain harvest (Full Video)

In a viral video, a frustrated farmer from Sankore has passionately called out the government over the poor state of the roads he relies on. This farmer, who regularly transports his crops to major cities like Accra, Kumasi, and Tema, spoke out after a heartbreaking incident: a truck carrying millions of his plantains overturned, leaving the entire harvest scattered and ruined on the roadside.

With a heavy heart, he explained how the terrible condition of the roads is not just an inconvenience, but a direct cause of his massive financial losses. The journey from Sankore to these cities has become a gamble, as bad roads often mean that crops rot before they can even reach the market. For this farmer, it’s not just a loss of income, but a crushing blow to his hard work and livelihood.

He didn’t hold back in expressing his disappointment with the government. According to him, they seem more interested in seeking votes than addressing the real issues affecting everyday people. “All they do is make promises, but when it comes to fixing the roads that we depend on, they fail us,” he lamented, as the video continued to stir conversation across the country.
