An amount of GH¢ 20,000 has been set forth by the Inspector General of Police(IGP), James Oppong–Boanuh as reward for anybody with relevant information that would lead to the arrest of suspects in the murder of Member of Parliament (MP) for the Mfantseman constituency, Hon. Ekow Quansah Hayford, according to a statement signed by Director Of Public Affairs of the Service, Mrs. Sheilla Kessie Abayie Buckman.
The police service through the release, assured the general public of relentless efforts in bringing the perpetrators of the crime to book as he commiserated with the family of the deceased legislator.
The late MP was shot dead on the Abeadze Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim road by some unknown assailants when he was returning from a campaign trip on Friday, October 9, 2020.
The police statement released earlier today revealed: “The IGP is offering a reward of twenty thousand Ghana Cedis (20,000.00) to any person who gives credible information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators’’.
The Police administration also urged the general public to maintain calmness and support the police in solving the case.
