Renowned Ghanaian Highlife musician Dada KD has once again sparked conversations with his candid revelations during an exclusive interview on Plan B 104.5 FM’s Drive Time Show with host Blutut Africa. The legendary singer, known for his soulful music and outspoken nature, delved into his journey, political aspirations, and views on religion.

Dada KD, whose music has captivated fans for decades, revealed that he initially wanted to pursue journalism. However, he admitted that his temper posed a challenge, leading him to channel his passion into music instead. Despite this shift, his strong opinions on governance and societal issues remain evident in his interviews and public statements.

Reflecting on his musical journey, Dada KD shared that his debut album was inspired by legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician Nana Acheampong’s song Me Do. Over the years, he has honed his craft to the point where one of his songs today can inspire up to five new compositions.

Never one to shy away from controversial topics, Dada KD expressed his disillusionment with Ghana’s s government, describing it as a system filled with hypocrisy. He lamented the inefficiencies and misplaced priorities of leadership, emphasizing the need for radical reforms to uplift the country.

When asked by host Blutut Africa what he would do if given the opportunity to be President for just one month, Dada KD made a bold declaration:
I will collapse all churches and turn them into industries.

His statement highlights his strong stance on religion’s role in society. He made it clear that he does not believe in spirituality, arguing that the country’s over-reliance on religious institutions has hindered economic growth. Instead, he advocates for industrialization as a means of creating jobs and boosting development.

Beyond music, Dada KD has his eyes set on politics. He revealed that he plans to venture into politics when he has accumulated enough financial resources. Given his strong views on governance and reform, his entry into the political space could bring fresh perspectives and bold policies.

Dada KD’s remarks during the interview have once again ignited discussions among fans and the general public. While some praise his fearless opinions, others believe his stance on religion and governance might be too extreme. Regardless, the legendary artist continues to make an impact—both in the music industry and in national discourse.

He further explained:

People think I do Highlife, but I am categorically an R&B singer.
