If Akufo Addo listened to advise, his government wouldn’t be like this – A-Plus

Former NPP sympathizer and 2024 independent parliamentary candidate for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng known popularly as A Plus, believes President Akufo-Addo’s government would have been better if he listened to advice.

In an interview with Accra-based TV3, A Plus asked, “If Akufo-Addo took advice, would his government be what it is today? He won’t look for advice.”

A Plus recalled the day Akufo-Addo was declared winner of the 2016 general elections and the believe he had in him.

He said the President failed to demonstrate exemplary leadership that would have taught the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) how to properly run a country.

“The day Akufo-Addo won the election, Charlotte Osei called Akufo-Addo and said he had won the election. He met the media in his house, accepted the verdict, and thanked everybody.

“I was standing by him. We walked from there into his office in the house. It was just me and him. He held my hand as we walked to his office,” he said.

A Plus said when they entered the office, he told the President, “Nana, we are going to teach these guys how to run a country” because he “was so optimistic that we are going to do something under Akufo-Addo.”
