The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed former Black Stars Striker Ibrahim Tanko as Black Meteors head coach for the second time.
The decision, according to the GFA, was taken on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
The Accra Lions Technical Director previously handled the Black Meteors during the 2019 Total Energies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and is now expected to lead the team to the 2023 African Games.
The 44-year-old served as assistant coach to former Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah.
Tanko has also coached in Germany, Japan and Cameroon.
