I wasn’t in rags before becoming OSP; the job is rather making me poor – Kissi Agyebeng

The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, has slammed individuals accusing him of incompetence and hence calling for President John Dramani Mahama to remove him from office.

In an interview on The KSM Show, shared on social media on November 5, 2025, Kissi Agyebeng stated that individuals calling for his dismissal are making a personal attack, which has nothing to do with his work.

Kissi Agyebeng further explained that he was recently accused of channelling his attention to fashion instead of focusing on his work.

According to him, he wasn’t broke before assuming the office as a Special Prosecutor.

Akufo-Addo, Sabotage: Kissi Agyebeng opens up about how OSP watched Ken Ofori-Atta leave

“Some people are even complaining about my dressing, saying that I dress too much. I was rich before I became the special prosecutor. I wasn’t in rags. I have been a lawyer since 2003 and a lecturer at the University of Ghana since 2006. I have had my own law firm since 2014, so this is not the work that would make me rich,” he said.

He additionally noted that being the special prosecutor is making him poor.

“This work is rather making me poor. But I will do my best to ensure that when I am no longer in the position, Ghanaians will remember me. We have made the OSP so attractive and working so effectively, it is a household name now,” he added.
