A communication team member of Movement for Change for Tema, Felix Kwasi Annan has stated that, he sometimes feels shy of as a Ghanaian because of the current leadership of the country.

In a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Wednesday, 21st August 2024, Kwasi Annan emphasised that President Nana Akufo-Addo and his appointees were employed by the electorates so they need to be serve but not to served.

“I applauded President Nana Akufo-Addo when the decision to sell 60% of SSNIT hotels to Bryan Acheampong’s Rock City Hotel was halted. I said to myself for the first time commending the President for listening to concerns raised by Ghanaians, not knowing he was preparing to fire a bomb” he noted.

“Ghanaian leaders must learn to respect the Cetizinary because without them, they wouldn’t have gotten to that highest position. President Akufo-Addo sometimes makes me feels shy of being a Ghanaian because of his ultrances and response to issues in the country” he added.

This come after President Akufo-Addo has described as needless, the controversy that greeted the decision to cede some interest in hotels owned by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to his Minister for Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong’s Rock City Hotel.

President Akufo-Addo indicated that the controversy was unnecessary, on the 12th Quadrennial Delegates Congress of the Trades Union Congress.
