The Kasoa Divisional Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old man, Eric Adakanu, and handed him over to the Bawjiase District Police Command.

Eric reportedly butchered his 32-year-old wife, Ayisha Mununi, after accusing her of cheating on him at Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

Ayisha denied the accusation, but it led to a heated argument.

Police sources told Adom News that amidst the argument, Eric went into his brother’s room, pulled a cutlass, and butchered Ayisha, killing her instantly.

Information gathered by Adom News suggests the couple reside in Accra but came to Bawjiase to celebrate the Christmas festivities with Eric’s senior brother.

The couple have been married for over a decade and are blessed with three beautiful children.

The suspect is currently behind bars at the Bawjiase District Police Command while the body has been deposited at the Police Hospital mortuary.
