The director of Aid-Life Herbal Research Hospital Dr. Eric Amoah has indicated that High blood pressure is often related to unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol, being overweight, and not exercising enough.
Speaking on APOMUDEN FIE a weekly health show with Ohene Addo on Plan B Fm, Dr Amoah said if high blood pressure is Left untreated, it can increase the risk of developing several serious long-term health conditions, including coronary heart disease. You also risk damaging the blood vessels in your kidneys or eyes.
He stressed that the ideal blood pressure is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg high blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher, and low blood pressure is considered to be below 90/60mmHg High.
He, therefore urged everyone to make it a habit to check their blood pressure regularly at any pharmacy shop to avoid late detention and also desist unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol, being overweight, and doing regular exercises could reduce the risk.
