Hearts of Oak Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah has resigned from his position after just eight months in office.

His departure brings an end to a relatively short spell in charge of the club’s day-to-day administration, with Ben Emunah informing the Phobian family of his decision in a farewell message.

The outgoing MD described his resignation as a difficult decision but said he was grateful for the opportunity to serve the club.

He expressed appreciation to the club’s Board, headed by Board Chairman HRH Togbe Afede XIV, for the confidence placed in him during his tenure.

Ben Emunah also acknowledged the National Chapters Committee (NCC), led by Alhaji Yusif Abdulai, for its support and what he described as “brotherly love” throughout his time at the club.

Despite leaving his executive position, Ben Emunah made it clear that his relationship with Hearts of Oak would continue, stressing that he was “not stepping away from the club.”

He pledged to remain available to support and assist the Phobians whenever his services were needed.

The former Managing Director also expressed optimism about the future of the club, saying he leaves office with immense appreciation and a strong belief that Hearts of Oak has a bright future.

His resignation now leaves Hearts of Oak facing another change in its leadership structure as the club continues its efforts to return to stability and sustained success.
