Hearts of Oak Coach denies submitting players’ transfer list

Hearts of Oak Coach denies submitting players’ transfer list

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has shot down reports about him submitting a list of players he wants transferred from the club.

He denied this allegation in a press briefing via the club’s media platform in the wake of a disastrous season where Hearts finished in 14th place on the 18 team league standings and lost to bitter rival Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Democracy Cup. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Like Kotoko, many suspected Hearts will undergo a massive clear out after a disappointing season but Ouattara has suggested otherwise and doubled down on this stating,

“All the list you are seeing is not from me never. We have the players who are at the end of their contracts; it’s normal to come and meet the MD to discuss about this contract but before (that), I will tell the MD, this guy, negotiate with him…and if I don’t need you I have that capacity to tell the player face to face the reason why I don’t need him.”

Since the close of the 2023-2024 season, Hearts have signed the likes of Michael Awuah Mensah and Samuel Amofah.
