Hamburg Police have launched an urgent search for the suspects after two victims were found with “stab wounds” in an area of the city.
An entire city centre is reportedly on lockdown as police rush to the scene where two people were “stabbed to death.” The incident, which happened today (February 2) has seen cordons erected in the city of Hamburg in Germany.
Hamburg Police tweeted: “In #Billstedt two fatally injured people were found.
“Investigations and searches are currently underway.”
Billstedt is an area in the borough Hamburg-Mitte, in the eastern part of Hamburg.
According to Focus, a German media outlet, an argument between “several men” had broken out and that two people had died die to “various stabbings”.

Witnesses reported an argument on Druckerstrasse, a knife attack and two men lying on the asphalt.
One of the dead is believed to have been lying motionless between the parked cars, the other in the middle of the street.
Photographs circulating online show large numbers of police in the area.
Officers are understood to have closed the quiet residential street and searching the surrounding area.
Witnesses said at least two suspects are at large.
