Economist, Doctor Sampson Anomah has said that the Ghana Union Traders Association (GUTA),  has the right to Association but is abusing their powers as an Association.

Speaking to Bohyeba Afriyie on plan B Fm’s Ebanoosen Doctor Sampson Anomah revealed that GUTA is the main Cause of our Economic crisis and the increase of unemployment rate in the country because they don’t encourage the local manufacturers.

He also said the more GUTA grows the more powerful they become , all the they do is to import and importation is the main factor of the depreciation of the cedis.

He also said that the Government is being to lenient with GUTA and is over empowering them with the bench mark value.

He concluded that the Government must demand the requisite tax from traders who import goods that have more substitute that are locally manufactured here in Ghana.
