There are ongoing shake ups in Guinea as the Mamady administration has promised to root out corruption from the francophone country. Earlier there were reports that the new government had directed all former government appointees to submit their passports to prevent them from traveling. Later, government vehicles in their hands as well as their private properties which were acquired during their term of office were confiscated.
Information we are receiving indicates that the seizure of properties have been extended to judges. In a post by Dictator Watch intercepted by CitizenOne, he twitted “the judges of the Supreme court of Guinea which approved Alpha Conde’s unconstitutional 3rd term have been ordered to return their official cars. The passport of the President of the court has been confiscated and the owner barred from traveling outside Guinea”. The twit came with a picture of president of the supreme court and other judges with former president Alpha Conde
