The Ghana Registered Nurses’ and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA), has stated they would be demanding an “Emotional Allowance” as compensation for the stress they go through in their line of duty.
Speaking on Plan B Fm’s Ebanoosen hosted by Bohyeba Afriyie, Joseph Krapah Public Relations Officer (PRO), for GRNMA has defended their demand for emotional allowance saying Ghanaians underestimate their work hence their lament over their allowance demand but they shall table it for the government consideration at the next meeting.
He argued that they could be entitled to emotional allowance considering the kind of things that they go through in line of their duties.
He further explained that they go through emotional and physical stress considering the kind of things they see and hear so they deserve emotional allowance.
He concluded that their work is underestimated because they are known for accepting anything imposed on them but not anymore they are up on their opinion game now.
