GPL: Kumasi Asante Kotoko part ways with goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim

GPL: Kumasi Asante Kotoko part ways with goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have officially parted ways with Black Stars keeper Danlad Ibrahim and 10 other players following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.

The departures were announced by the club in a post on its X (formerly Twitter) page in the wake of the Porcupine Warriors sixth place finish in the 18 team standings.

Kotoko registered 14 wins, seven draws and 13 losses in the immediate past season to record 49 points but fell just two points shy of a second place finish in the league.

The disappointing season fueled extensive talk of a mass departure from the club and such reports were confirmed with the mass exit.

Goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim and midfielder Serge Eric Zeze were the biggest casualties with both players dropping from practically shoo in starters to fringe players due to a mix of injuries in the case of Zeze and indifferent form in the case of Ibrahim.
