GPL: Hearts coach calls for patience after defeat to Legon Cities

GPL: Hearts coach calls for patience after defeat to Legon Cities

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has bemoaned the level of quality in his side after recording its latest loss.

Hearts lost 2-0 to Legon Cities at the Dawu Park with the loss being the Phobians’ fourth in five games in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season second half.

Despite getting off to a flying start (five game unbeaten run) after his appointment, Hearts have gone through several low points that has had the team lose three games in a row before a 3-1 win over Karela United ended the streak.

Confronted by Phobian fans upset over the team’s performance in the loss, Coach Ouattara indirectly blamed the quality of options he has available saying,

“These are the materials I have. I do not have any players anywhere else so I have to work with them. So be patient and hear me out.”

The loss comes on the back of Hearts of Oak Board Member, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, describing the team’s performance so far in the season as Disappointing.
