GPL: GFA confirms no Christmas break for domestic football

GPL: GFA confirms no Christmas break for domestic football

The Ghana Football Association has announced that all domestic football competitions will proceed uninterrupted during the festive season.

Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director for the GFA, confirmed that the association is blending the Christmas spirit with football action.

Speaking to Accra based Peace FM as monitored by Plan B Sports, he stated, “This weekend, there will be games. We have two major assignments—an international CHAN qualifier and domestic competitions. The Black Galaxies will play Nigeria at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, while the Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Premier League will also continue.”

The FA is determined to keep the momentum going after the elections temporarily paused activities earlier this month. Fans can look forward to an exciting schedule, including the resumption of the Women’s Premier League.

“While celebrating Christmas, you will also have the chance to enjoy domestic football. We want everything to go well without a break,” Twum emphasized.
