Government Dismisses School Feeding Programme Caterers

GSFP Directs School Feeding Caterers To Stop Providing Meals To Students After Dec. 10
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The government has terminated the contracts of all caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) nationwide. The notice, signed by Hajia Fati Forgor, the National Coordinator of the GSFP, cited an ongoing restructuring exercise as the reason for the mass termination.

According to Abigail Teye, the GSFP Secretariat indicated that it would soon announce new modalities for recruiting caterers into the programme. This points to a potential overhaul of the current system, though specific details remain undisclosed.
