Around 7am yesterday, July 7,2021, a gory accident occurred at Sefwi Domenebo , Bibiani-Bekwai road claiming life of a female passenger in one of the two taxis involved few hours after and leaving other passengers on board severely injured.

Narrating the incident to Plan B news, Bibiani Anhwiaso district police commander Superintendent Augustine Mensah said it happened as a result of reckless driving by a driver who decided to make unsafe overtaking after flouting police instructions when signalled to stop at the police checkpoint.

According to him, the corpse’s identity is not yet known as the body has since been deposited at Bibiani government hospital morgue and the injured battling for their lives as well at same hospital.

Supt. Augustine Mensah seized the opportunity and appealed to road users mostly drivers who ply various roads to be law abiding, comply with road safety measures (road signs) in order to curb such avoidable occurrences and made reference to how taxi drivers misbehave on the Bibiani roundabout during market days.
