Bibiani GoldStars have been crowned winners of the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 competition, despite Accra Hearts of Oak’s victory against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

The Miners narrowly beat Hearts of Oak to the trophy on a head-to-head advantage per the rules of the tournament.

Both teams had 7 points each at the end of the competition, but Gold Stars’ victory over the Phobians on matchday 2 of the tournament gave them a head-to-head advantage.

Even though Hearts of Oak had a superior goal difference of 3 compared to Gold Stars, GHALCA gives credence to head-to-head records.

Hearts of Lions came 3rd with 4 points from 3 games.

Asante Kotoko finished at the bottom of the table with no wins from the 3 games they played.

On the final day of the tournament, Gold Stars enhanced their chances of clinching the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 trophy after overcoming Heart of Lions 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the University of Ghana Stadium.

The Phobians beat the Porcupine Warriors convincingly by 2-0, with a goal in each half.
