The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, (GIMPA) has held its 20th Congregation on Wednesday November 4, 2020 to award degrees and Diplomas to students who successfully completed their programs of study in the 2019/20 academic year at the Institute’s Main Campus in Accra.
The graduands are made up from the School of Technology, School of Public Service and Governance, Business School and Faculty of Law.
The Guest Speaker, Mr. Jonathan Amoako-Baah, CEO of the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) spoke on the theme, “The Changing face of the Tertiary Institution in the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic”
He congratulated the graduands for the wonderful feat achieved in the midst of the coronavirus Pandemic.
“I am charging you to understand the times in which we live and be committed to ensuring that you are up to date with the power of Technology in developing your skills to succeed in the Corporate, Public, Social and Entrepreneurial world” Mr Amoako admonished the students.
GIMPA’s 20th Congregation which was scheduled for July this year could not come off due to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic.
Professor Philip Ebow Bondzi-Simpson, Rector of GIMPA, stated that GIMPA was in an advanced stage in its preparation towards introducing a Master of Laws program. He expects GIMPA to start the Master of Laws program in 2021.
He announced that the Institute would celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2021.
Professor Bondzi-Simpson also advised the graduating students to apply the knowledge gained from GIMPA in rendering services to Ghana and humanity.
