Ghana’s Inflation Rate For July 2022 Surges To 31.7%

Ghana’s Inflation Surges  To 29.8%

The national year-on-year inflation rate was 31.7% in July 2022 which is 1.9 percentage points higher than the recorded 29.8% in June 2022, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has said.

This is a 1.9 percentage points higher than the 29.8% inflation rate recorded in June this year

This means that in the month of July 2022 the general price level was 31.7% higher than in July 2021.

According to the Government Statistian, Prof Samuel Kobina Annim, the inflation rate for July was mainly driven by transport and utilities.
