Concerned residents of Tema hav expressed frustration over the increasing movement of stray cattle within public spaces, describing the situation as a growing nuisance and a threat to public safety.

Speaking during the After Drive show on Plan B FM, hosted by Obideshye Kofi Sekyi, residents lamented that herds of cattle often roam freely through major streets, disrupting traffic and posing risks to both motorists and pedestrians.

According to the various callers, the presence of the animals, especially during rush hours, create traffic congestion and raises concerns about possible road accidents. “It’s becoming unbearable. You can’t drive freely anymore because these cattle just move about as if they own the road,” one resident complained.

Various residents appealed to local authorities to take immediate action to address the issue by enforcing existing by-laws on stray animals and holding livestock owners accountable.

A guest in the studio, Otuahene, narrated how a stray cow gored a school girl who was walking on the side as the cows tried crossing the street.

Host Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, who expressed similar concern, urged the relevant authorities to intervene to ensure public safety.

Residents are calling for swift action to prevent the situation from escalating and to restore order on our streets.
