Ghanaians have taught us a bitter lesson by voting us out of office—NPP MP

Ghanaians have taught us a bitter lesson by voting us out of office—NPP MP
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Eugene Boakye Antwi, the Member of Parliament for the Subin constituency in the Ashanti Region, has reacted to the results the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has garnered in the yet-to-be declared results for the general elections.

Although the Electoral Commission was yet to declare the results, he has admitted that the party has lost the elections.

In a Facebook post, he opined that the party lost the elections as far back as 2022.

He said the failure of the president to sack Ken Ofori-Atta as finance minister showed that they were not listening to concerns of Ghanaians.

He noted that Ghanaians have punished the NPP and taught them a bitter lesson.

The lawmaker added that almost 6 million of eligible voters failed to vote in the elections due to voter apathy.
