A Ghanaian student at New Mexico State University in the United States, Seth Owusu, has been left devastated following the death of his wife, who had arrived in the US just over a month ago.

Diana Seisie Owusu was found unresponsive on October 27, 2024, at home with her two children by her husband, who had earlier left home to run errands.

According to a report by ompaix.com, Seth called home to check on his wife and two children, aged 5 and 3 years, while he was out.

He became alarmed when his younger daughter told him on the phone that “mummy is still asleep.” He rushed home to find his wife unresponsive after a second call revealed no changes in her situation.

She was subsequently rushed to a hospital in Las Cruces, where she was pronounced dead.

According to the report, Diana had been living with a medical condition known as Catamenial Epilepsy, which took a toll on her daily life.

The situation has left her husband deeply affected as he navigates the dual responsibility of mourning his wife and taking care of their two young children.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe account has been set up to solicit funds in support of Diana’s autopsy, emergency room bills, and potential repatriation.
