The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League champions will pocket GH¢3 million at the end of the season, with each participating club guaranteed GH¢1 million from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
GFA President Kurt Okraku announced the new financial package during the 32nd Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association in Prampram.
According to Mr. Okraku, all 18 Ghana Premier League clubs will receive GH¢1 million each for the upcoming season, while the team that emerges as league champions will take home a significantly bigger GH¢3 million prize.
The GH¢3 million winner’s prize means the champions will receive an additional GH¢2 million on top of the GH¢1 million allocated to every participating club.
The announcement is expected to add further incentive to the title race, with clubs set to compete not only for the Premier League crown but also for what will be a substantial financial reward.
The GFA says the financial package is aimed at supporting clubs and encouraging greater competitiveness in the domestic top-flight league.
With GH¢3 million at stake for the champions, the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season promises to come with an added financial motivation for clubs seeking to lift the title.
