Ghana Meteorological Agency Embark On An Indefinite Strike Today

The staff of Ghana Meteorological Agency have served a notice to begin their industrial action on Friday February 18 as a result of their poor condition of service.

Mr Nii clegg the Divisional union Chairman of the meteorological Agency in an interview with bohyeba Afriyie on plan B Fm’s Ebanoosen disclosed that over the years the meteorological sector In Ghana have been taken for granted forgetting how important their is service is to Pilots, the Agriculture sector and all Ghanaians as a whole.

He stated that due to the nature of their work they mostly set up their offices in no go areas this because the result of their research can be interrupted by Human activities so they risk their lives in forest and mountains but don’t have enough protective Equipment and are also not given risk allowances

He also stated there’s been letters containing
their grievances presented to their ministry and on January 7 they presented a resolution document to them again but they are yet to get a response from them.

He concluded that this Action is not to punish the Government’s or Ghanaians but rather a call On them to do the right thing.
