The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially launched its 2024 recruitment drive for the Regular Career Officer Course and Short Service Commission Officers.

GAF has therefore urged prospective candidates to avoid fraudulent intermediaries and follow the correct application procedures.

In a public statement released on Friday, 13 September 2024, GAF emphasised that it does not charge any fees for recruitment, and warned applicants to steer clear of individuals claiming to offer recruitment assistance in exchange for money.

“The Ghana Armed Forces wishes to state that individuals who present themselves as middlemen, intermediaries, or agents demanding payment to assist any candidate(s) should be reported to the nearest Military Installation or Police Station,” the statement read.

GAF further cautioned that any applicant who chooses to engage with fraudulent agents would also be held accountable. “Interested applicants who choose to pay monies to purported agents for help are equally culpable in the fraudulent act,” the notice added.

To ensure transparency, GAF advised interested candidates to check the Daily Graphic of Friday, 13 September 2024, via Graphicnewsplus.com for complete details about the recruitment process.

The military also urged the public to avoid unverified social media platforms posing as official recruitment channels.
