GFA release 55 man provisional squad for Qatar 2022

2022 FIFA WC: Otto Addo to name 35-man provisional squad next week

After days of speculation, the Ghana Football Association has finally disclosed the full list of players from which the final squad for the World Cup will be picked.

The FA per FIFA rules were not obliged to put the provisional list in the public domain.

Notable names who were outside the core of the team but made the list include Ibrahim Imoro, Patrick Kpozo, Alidu Seidu, Salis Abdul Samed, Mudasiru Salifu and Kwasi Wriedt.

Otto Addo and his technical team are expected to name a final 26 or 23 man squad on the 14th of November 2022 which is the deadline for Federations to submit their squads.

Ghana have been placed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars play their first game of the competition against Portugal on November 20,2022.
