The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has fined and suspended Elmina Sharks Football Club President Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum for misconducting himself in an Access Bank Division One League game.
Dr. Ndoum has been fined 10,000 Ghana Cedis ($644.75) and suspended for three months for misconducting himself in Elmina Sharks’ league tie against Swedru All Blacks on February 16, 2025.
The three month suspension will have Dr. Ndoum, who doubles as the bank roller of former Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks, banned for the aforementioned period.
According to the statement released by the GFA’s Disciplinary Committee, Dr. Ndoum was found guilty of “interfering the match’s progress inciting players against match officials, and making social media comments that provoked violence and hatred towards referees.”
The game between Elmina Sharks and All Blacks had multiple stoppages including one that lasted 27 minutes and clashes involving players and fans.
In the aftermath of the game, Dr. Ndoum stated on his Facebook page that the GFA was clueless and the association’s actions were ridiculous. Scroll down to read full statement from GFA Disciplinary Committee to Dr. Ndoum.
