The Ghana Football Association has announced the dates for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The opening matches will take place from Friday, September 6, 2024, to Monday, September 9, 2024, across all nine Premier League centres.
The season will consist of 34 weekends and will conclude on Sunday, June 8, 2025. There will be no official midweek matchdays, a policy aimed at reducing the travel burden on clubs.
Midweek slots will be reserved for clearing outstanding games for clubs participating in the 2024/25 Africa Inter Club Competitions or rescheduled matches.
The league will take a one-week break ahead of the December 7, 2024, National Elections, allowing players and officials to travel and fulfil their civic duties.
The season’s conclusion on June 8, 2025, will give clubs ample time to meet CAF’s Club Licensing requirements for the 2025-26 season.
Fans of the Ghana Premier League are eagerly anticipating an exciting season, with the Champion of Champions match set for Sunday, September 1, 2024.
