George Afriyie disqualified from GFA Presidential elections

Renowned football administrator, George Afriyie has been disqualified from contesting in the GFA presidential election.

Mr Afriyie was challenging the incumbent Kurt Okraku for the GFA seat has shockingly been disqualified by the elections committee of the Ghana Football Association.

The committee’s statement indicate that George Afriyie has been disqualified for breaching the article 13(2)(j) of the Ghana Football Association Statues and for failing to provide the required number of GFA members to support his candidature.

This comes as shocking to the Ghanaian football fraternity considering the experience of George Afriyie who has served as the GFA vice before under Kwasi Nyantakyi.
