GCB Bank Debunks Claim Of fire Affecting Nkwanta South Branch

The Ghana Commercial Bank Public Liability Company (GCB Bank PLC) has debunk claims that, its branch at Nkwanta South in the Oti Region has been affected by fire outbreak.

The fire outbreak, which was reported to happen on Sunday, January 30, 2022, did not affect the Bank as reported by some media outlets.

GCB Bank PLC, in a release signed by Emmanuel Kojo Kwarteng (Head of Corporate Affairs), there was no casualty during and after the fire outbreak.

The release further indicated that, personals of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) successfully extinguished the fire with the support of the security services and the community after the fire was detected at 11am.

“The fire which was detected at 11am was successfully extinguished by personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) with the support of the security services and the community.

There was no casualty during and after the fire outbreak. Our Nkwanta branch of the Bank was not affected by the fire” the release indicated.
