The News coming in from the Ghana Police Service is that of an accident that happened on Accra-Kumasi Highway, involving a single cargo track.

According to the Police, the incident happened at Densusu near Apegwa junction. They said the Police Officers are at the scene of the accident and are directing and controlling the traffic on that stretch.

They are pleaded with trotro drivers, taxi drivers, motorists, private cars owners among others, approaching the scene of the accident to slow down and be patient as well as driving safely on the high way.

The Ghana Police Service failed to provide enough information on the severity of the accident and the casualties. It is expected that further details of the accident will be released by the police subsequently.

Ghana has experienced severe accident incidence for the past 3 days and is very shocking. Some lives were lost and others severely injured.

The Ghana Police Service announced that, they are doing a feasibility study on the various highways to see if they can be dualized. This initiative is to help curb the rising number of accidents occurring on our highways in the country.
