According to the former president, the delegation was made up of MPs who have served the nation in various capacities during his administration. He described the visit as cordial and constructive, noting that it was an opportunity to reconnect with individuals who played important roles in national development during his tenure.

Mr. Akufo-Addo stated that their discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, including national development, regional progress and issues concerning the New Patriotic Party. He emphasized that the conversation was encouraging and highlighted the commitment of the MPs to their constituencies, despite now serving on the Minority side in Parliament.

He used the occasion to congratulate the MPs for what he described as their “stellar work and representation” in Parliament. He noted that their contributions continue to bring significant benefits to the people they represent and to the entire country. The former president also urged them to maintain their dedication to public service and uphold the values of good governance and patriotism.

The meeting, he added, was a reminder of the importance of unity and collaboration in advancing the nation’s democratic progress. He expressed optimism that continued dialogue among political leaders would help strengthen the country’s parliamentary democracy and promote development across all regions.
