Former Finance Minister Seth Terkper Loses Wife

Ghana’s former Finance Minister and current Economic Advisor to the President, Mr. Seth Terkper, is mourning the loss of his wife, Mrs. Deborah Ferguson Terkper, who passed away on July 7, 2025, in Virginia, United States.

The family confirmed the sad news in a statement shared via a funeral announcement posted by Mr. Terkper on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

“The Anona Ebusua of Atwereboanda, the Terkpernor family of Somanya, the Grant, Hagan, Terkper and allied families regret to announce the sudden home call of their wife, mother, sister, cousin and relative Mrs. Deborah Ferguson Terkper,” the statement read.

Mrs. Terkper was 63 years old at the time of her passing.

The family has requested privacy during this difficult period and expressed gratitude for the support and prayers they have received.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
